Saint Anselm's Hoyt Headlines D2CCA East Region Honors

Six NE10 Players Named to All-Region Teams

MANSFIELD, Mass. - Saint Anselm senior forward Melanie Hoyt has been selected as East Region Player of the Year, as the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) announced its All-Region women's basketball honors on Friday. Hoyt headlines a group of six players from the Northeast-10 Conference to earn All-Region status.

Hoyt, the NE10 Player of the Year, is the conference's leading scorer this season (18.0 points per game), ranks first in field goal percentage (55.9%) and eighth in rebounding (7.9 per game). She was a four-time selection as NE10 Player of the Week and has posted six double-doubles this season for the Hawks, who finished second in the league standings. Hoyt is 11th all-time in program history in career points (1,331) and second in career field goal percentage (51.5%).

Joining Hoyt on the All-Region First Team was Bentley's Maggie Whitmore and Southern Connecticut's Delaney Haines. Whitmore, the Most Outstanding Player of the NE10 Championship, was a D2CCA Second Team All-Region selection in 2024. Haines is the second-leading scorer in the NE10 this season with 17.1 points per contest.

Assumption's Marina Callahan, Bentley's Kylie DuCharme and Franklin Pierce's Colette Mulderig earned spots on the All-Region Second Team. In addition to being First Team All-Conference selections, both Callahan and DuCharme were named to the All-Defensive Team - as both Assumption and Bentley rank in the Top 20 in scoring defense in all of Division II. Mulderig was third in scoring (15.9 points) and first in rebounding (9.2 per game) among NE10 players this season.

Sports Information Directors from NCAA Division II East Region schools and conferences selected the two All-Region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced later this month.

The Division II CCA encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
