Bentley's Whitmore Named to WBCA All-America Team

MANSFIELD, Mass. - Bentley graduate forward Maggie Whitmore highlights a group of four players from the Northeast-10 Conference to earn All-America honors from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA).

Whitmore was named to the WBCA All-America Team, while three players - Assumption's Marina Callahan, Saint Anselm's Melanie Hoyt and Southern Connecticut's Delaney Haines - were selected as Honorable Mention All-Americans.

Whitmore, the Most Outstanding Player of the NE10 Championship, led Bentley to its fourth-consecutive league title and an East Region championship. She averaged 12.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists to help coordinate Bentley's balanced attack. Whitmore scored in double-figures in 26 games for the Falcons, who went a remarkable 33-2 this season.

Haines was the second-leading scorer in the NE10 this season with 16.9 points per contest, while Callahan ranked in the Top 10 in both scoring (13.3 points) and rebounding (8.3 rebounds) in the conference.
