Women's Basketball 3/9/2025 10:50:58 PM Bentley Leads Field of Five NE10 Programs into Women's Basketball East Regional Top-Seeded Falcons to Serve as Regional Host MANSFIELD, Mass. - Coming off its fourth-straight Northeast-10 Conference title on Sunday, Bentley earned the top seed and hosting rights for the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball East Regional, as announced in the Selection Show on Sunday night. Four other NE10 programs - Saint Anselm (No. 4), Southern Connecticut (No. 5), Assumption (No. 6) and New Haven (No. 8) - will join Bentley in the East Regional. It is the sixth consecutive season that the NE10 has produced at least four women's basketball programs in the NCAA Championship field. Bentley (30-1, 19-1 NE10) claimed its 24th NE10 Championship title in program history on Sunday, defeating Assumption by a 64-54 margin. With the win, the Falcons punched their ticket to the NCAA Championship for the 39th time - and for the fourth consecutive time under head coach C White. In the latest WBCA Division II Poll, Bentley was ranked third nationally. No Division II team in the nation has competed in more NCAA championships, played in more NCAA games (106) or posted more wins (66) than the Falcons. The East Regional dates are March 14, 15 and 17 at the Dana Center. The first round will consist of two all-NE10 matchups, as Bentley takes on New Haven and Saint Anselm plays Southern Connecticut. Assumption will play third-seeded Holy Family. The Division II Tournament consists of 64 teams at eight regional sites. The NCAA Elite Eight will be played at the UMPC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, Pa., from March 24-28.
