Glasgow Adds to Award Tally in NE10 Postseason Honors

SCSU's All-American Named NE10 Swimmer of the Year

MANSFIELD, Mass. - Justice Glasgow just keeps writing her name in the record books.  The Southern Connecticut State senior was voted by the league's coaches as NE10 Swimmer of the Year this week following her All-American year for the Owls.

A previous All-American, Glasgow earned honors agains this winter after finishing fifth in the country in the 100 Butterfly in Indianapolis.  She was also the Northeast-10 champion in that event.

Glasgow was not the only SCSU Owl to take home postseason hardware.  Coach Tim Quill was voted by his peers as the NE10 Swim Coach of the Year for the third straight season.  It is the 15th time Quill has been named Women's Swimming Coach of the Year in his career in New Haven.

Bentley had an equally good run in the women's swimming and diving postseason voting.  Senior Hilla Almog, an All-American in 2024, was dubbed the NE10 Diver of the Year for the second straight season.  Like last year, Almog was selected to compete at the NCAA Division II Championship in Indianapolis and carried the top diving scores in the country for much of the season.  Almog was named NE10 Diver of the Week every week she competed this season.  

Almog's coach, Rick Danehy was voted NE10 Diving Coach of the Year for the 10th time and sixth straight season.  Bentley placed three of the top seven divers at the NE10 Championship in February.

The final major award went to Pace's Gigi Morossi, one of the top back stroke swimmers in the East.  Morossi was named Rookie of the Year after winning the NE10 title in the 100 and 200 Back.  She was selected for the NCAA Championships in the 200.  Morossi is the third Setter to win Rookie of the Year -- all in the last eight seasons.
