MANSFIELD, Mass. - Adelphi, the two-time reigning Northeast-10 Conference champion, was selected to participate in the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championship on Monday night when the Selection Show aired on NCAA.com.
Adelphi earned the No. 4 seed in the East Region and will play No. 5 District of Columbia on Friday, May 9, to kick off the regional round. The winner will advance to play top-seeded Queens (NY) on Saturday, May 10.
Following the conclusion of regional play, 16 teams will advance to compete at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla. - which will begin on May 20 and continue through May 24 with the national championship match.
Adelphi (16-5, 9-1 NE10) is on a five-match winning streak - including Sunday's 4-2 victory over Franklin Pierce in the NE10 Championship. It was the second-straight title for the Panthers under head coach Rebecca Fakas.
