INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA Monday announced the selections for both the men's and women's national championship tournaments. Northeast 10 champions Adelphi and runners-up Assumption were selected to participate in both fields.
Adelphi's men return to the NCAA field a year after picking up the first championship win in program history, 4-0, over the District of Columbia. The Panthers are the No. 3 seed this go around and will play at No. 2 St. Thomas Aquinas at noon on May 12th. Assumption eeked in as the No. 4 seed. Based on their overall body of work the Hounds earned an at-large selection and will play at No. 1 Queens on May 11th at 1pm in the first round. Winners of both matches will meet thereafter.
On the women's side Adelphi is the No. 2 seed, but will play at No. 3 Jefferson in the opening round at noon on May 8th. The Panthers return to the NCAA bracket after a year out in 2025. The winner of that match meets the winner of No. 1 Queens and the winner of No. 4 Wilmington and No. 5 Assumption. The Greyhounds will play May 8th at 1pm at Queens and, with a win, would face Queens the next day.
Winners of the regional sites advance to the NCAA National Championships May 19-24 in Surprise, Ariz.
