Mansfield, Mass. - For just the eighth time in Northeast-10 history, the same team captured both Player of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year honors in 2024. Southern New Hampshire's Annemartine Christis, the nation's leading scorer, and netminder Emma Peeters were selected by the conference coaches for each award respectively.
All awards and all-conference teams were nominated and voted on by each of the league's 14 head coaches.
Christis becomes the second Penmen to win Player of the Year, following Laura van der Doom in 2019. Not only did Christis lead Division II in scoring this fall, she also established herself as the season and career leader in Manchester for goals, assists and points.
The Dutchwomen's national lead in goals has been impressive. Christis leads by a half a goal per game over last year's NE10 Player of the Year, Pace's Krista Dietz. The gap between first and second nationally is the same as the gap that seperates second from 20th.
Peeters, meanwhile, is the first in SNHU history to be named Goalkeeper of the Year and makes it four programs in four years to win the honor. Bentley's Mia Trottie won last season after Saint Anselm's Mackeznie McConnell and Assumption's Kylie Gargiulo in 2021 and 2022. Peeters is second nationally in both save percentage and goals against average and holds the second-best NE10 number in the former over the last decade.
SNHU's final major award came with Coach of the Year, a first for Julie Munson, the only coach the Penmen have known since the program restarted in 2013.
The only team to go undefeated in the NE10 regular season, Assumption was not to be left out of the conversation. Senior Callie Beauparlant takes home the Greyhounds' first Defensive Player of the Year trophy since Jenna Graf in 2021. Defense also ruled in Rookie of the Year voting, with AIC's Frederique den Hartog becoming the first keeper to win since Pace's Grace Henderson in 2018.
As for all-conference teams, the 12-person squads have no position restirctions and were headlined by six players each from Assumption and SNHU. Adelphi had the third-most selections with five. In total, 12 of the 14 teams in the conference earned an all-conference or all-rookie selection.
