National Champs Picked to Win 2025 NE10 Title

Adelphi Selected by Coaches To Win League Crown

MANSFIELD, Mass. - The Adelphi Panthers, 2024 Northeast-10 Champion, regular season champion and NCAA National Champion, were selected by the leagues coaches Tuesday to repeat atop the NE10 this spring.  The Pathers received seven of nine first place votes and edged out the Pace Setters and St. Anselm Hawks in second and third.

Adelphi is looking to repeat as NE10 champion, something the league hasn't seen since Le Moyne hoisted the trophy in 2016 and 2017.  Adelphi repeated the two years prior and Le Moyne the two years before that.  The only three programs to win consecutive NE10 Championships are Le Moyne, Adelphi and Bentley, who won the first two NE10 titles.

Why Adelphi was picked by the league's coaches seems clear.  Not only are the Panthers the defending national champions but they also return the National Player of the Year in goalkeeper Dylan Renner.  The goalie entered the transfer portal over the summer, ultimately returning to Long Island for his final season.  AU also returns three of its top five scorers from 2024.

Pace finished just behind in the 2025 poll.  The Setters went 13-4 (7-2) last year and advanced to both the NE10 semifinals and the NCAA quarterfinals.  All-American Daniel Zabbia returns after finishing as the team's second-leading scorer last spring.

St. Anselm rounds out the top three in the conference preseason rankings, returning after a trip to the NCAA Final Four a year ago.  The Hawks will look much different this season after graduating both the NE10 Co-Player of the Year and the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year in Nick Larsen and Ryan Slattery.
