Lewis and Tomei Carry No. 1 Adelphi into the Postseason

Week 10 - April 20, 2026


NE10 Player of the Week

Kyle Lewis, Adelphi
Senior I Mid I Franklin Square, N.Y.


Not only was Lewis drafted by the PLL last week, but in a 2-0 week for Adelphi, the senior captain accounted for a team-leading 11 points. He scored four times to help the Cats defeat No. 9 Pace.  He then turned into the playmaker in the second game of the week, accounting for four assists, to go alongside two goals in the regular season finale against Franklin Pierce.


NE10 Defensive Player of the Week

Dameer Phifer, American Int'l
Freshman | LSM | Stratford, Conn.


Phifer etched his name in lacrosse history for the Yellow Jackets, breaking the NCAA Division II single season caused turnovers record by collecting his 59th on the season, and it took a monster week to get there as he forced 15 possession changes in the final two games. He also snagged 15 ground balls, and even contributed an assist for the offense.


NE10 Goalie of the Week

Christian Tomei, Adelphi
Junior I Jupiter, Fla.

Tomei finished a 2-0 week for Adelphi with 80 minutes between the pipes, posting a 63% save percentage. Against no. 9 Pace he faced 34 shots and put up 14 saves, while allowing seven goals. He held both opponents to single digit scoring, with three stops against Franklin Pierce (3 GA) in 20 minutes.


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Zeke Peraza, Saint Michael's
Freshman I Mid I Los Angeles, Calif.

Peraza tallied five goals, one assist and five ground balls during a 2-0 week. He potted a hat trick with two ground balls in a 15-7 win versus Franklin Pierce on Tuesday before notching two goals, an assist, three ground balls and one caused turnover during a 13-9 victory over No. 20 Bentley on Saturday.
