Short Stick Defensive Midfielder is one of the least heralded positions in lacrosse. You're not an offensive workhorse, you're not a face-off specialist, you don't have a cool long pole and you're not a goalie. You fall in this nebulous space to the fan who won't see you on the stat sheet. Very few people play the position better than Adelphi's Gavin Herzog.

The senior joins us to talk about how he became a SSDM, the success of Adelphi's overall defense, the amount of eye black the Panthers wear, what it's like to win a national championship, playing in NFL stadiums and running his own business while being a college student-athlete.
