NE10 Swimmer of the Week
Christian Toussi, Bridgeport
Senior I Viken, Norway
Toussi swam on the 200 Free, 400 Free, 200 Medley and 400 Medley teams that posted top one or two times in the NE10 this season last week at the ECAC Winter Championships. The Purple Knights finished third at the meet and were the top DII team. Individually, Toussi swam the NE10's best 100 Free and 100 Fly this fall.
His best performance at the meet itself came in the Free and Fly, finishing in the top four of both races.
NE10 Diver of the Week
Owen Angkatavanich, Bentley
Senior I Guilford, Conn.
The Falcons competed at WPI's Gompei Invitational at the same pool as the Northeast 10 Championship. Owen posted a 330.55 score from one meter and 325.95 off the three meter board. This was in an 11-dive format and Angatavanich finished second.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Sultanbek Azat, Bridgeport
Freshman I Almaty, Kazakhstan
Azat and Toussi continue to be two of the best in the NE10 this season and both had great weeks. Azat swam on the same relays as Toussi that posted the top times in the NE10 this season (800 Free, 400 Free and 400 Medley). Azat put up a 15:41.13 score in the 1650 for third place and first in the NE10. He went 4:25.78 in the 500 Free for second place and 1:38.82 in the 200 Free for third. All his individual races rank No. 1 in the league.
