NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The Northeast 10 saw two swimmers earn three All-America honors this weekend in Evansville, Ind. at the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving National Championship. Bridgeport freshmen Christian Toussi and Jurcia Dragun earned honors, headlined by the latter's first team status.
Dragun finished sixth in the 100 Breast, swimming the A final in 53.14 seconds. That race followed Dragun's All-America second team performance in the 200 Breast. Dragun tied the Bridgeport school record in that race, touching the wall in 1:58.31.
Toussi earned All-America second team honors for his efforts in the 100 Back. The freshman was the third-ranked rookie in the race, clocking in at 47.57 seconds to take second in the consolation final.
Both men won the NE10 Championship in all three races they earned All-America.
