The TLDR
- This is Southern Connecticut's sixth straight championship, dating to 2019. The Owls also won the first 10 swimming and diving championships in NE10 history -- the longest stretch for any team -- men's or women's.
- The Owls have finished first or second every year, with the exception of 2015.
- 'Swim for Tim' was SCSU's mantra all weekend, swimming with heavy hearts after the unexpected passing of head coach Tim Quill on Tuesday.
- One record was broken at the championship - the 100 Free by SCSU's Molly Kennedy
- Kennedy and Pace's Gigi Morossi both posted NCAA B-Cut times at the championship.
- Kennedy was named Swimmer of the Meet, the first time SCSU has won the honor in back-to-back years since 2012 and 2013. Kennedy is the third of the last four winners to earn the award in consecutive years.
- Bentley was the runner up for the fifth straight meet. It marks the 11th second place finish for the Falcons -- most of any NE10 men's or women's team.
