NE10 Earns 13 Men's Soccer All-Region Selections

Conference Dominates First Team of United Soccer Coaches List

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. - It's been an historic soccer season for the Northeast 10 this fall, with the Southern New Hampshire men and Franklin Pierce women playing in the NCAA semifinals this week.  The men continued to add to mantel this week, earning eight of 11 All-Region First Team selections from the United Soccer Coaches.  The conference saw 13 student-athletes named All-Region by either United Soccer Coaches or the D2 Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA).

Bentley's Luke Mollenhauer, the 2025 NE10 Defensive Player of the Year, Michael Haikal, the NE10 Player of the Year, and SNHU's Gabi Castro and Alex Pons were both named All-Region First Team by both organizations.  Mollenhauer started all 15 Bentley games this fall, helping to lead the Falcons to the NE10 regular season championship for the first time since the 1990's.  Pons and Castro continue to play this fall, with SNHU in the national semifinals.  Castro, the Rookie of the Year in the league last fall, has scored six times in 2025.  Pons has anchored the Penmen defense that hasn't allowed a goal in the NCAA tournament thus far.

Other student-athletes to be named First Team All-Region by either organization includedFranklin Pierce's Guillermo Avendano, Joao Araujo, Julen Martin and Stepan Fiker.  SNHU's Philip Herrmann was named to the first team by United Soccer Coaches along with teammate Martin Fuentes.  Both were second team D2CCA selections.  Bentley also earned honors for Logan Veloria.
