MANSFIELD, Mass. – New Haven and Saint Anselm both earned a pair of major awards to highlight the Northeast-10 Conference's announcement of its All-Conference teams for women's lacrosse on Tuesday afternoon.
New Haven's Katie Schenk was named Midfielder of the Year, while Jen Fallon was picked as Coach of the Year by her peers. The Chargers won a share of their first-ever NE10 regular season title with a 9-1 record against league opponents.
Saint Anselm's Elizabeth Driscoll won Goalkeeper of the Year for the second time in three seasons and Ayla McDermod was chosen as Rookie of the Year - marking the first time a Hawks' player has been selected for the award since 2012.
Joining Driscoll as a repeat winner was Bentley's Maeve Johnson, who earned Attacker of the Year for the second straight season. Adelphi's Sonny Lionetti was tabbed Defensive Player of the Year, while helping the Panthers to a share of the regular season crown.
Pace and New Haven tied for a league-best eight All-Conference selections; including four each on the First Team. Adelphi also had four players earn First Team honors.
Johnson was a top-10 goal scorer in Division II this season, averaging 4.19 goals per game - which puts her ninth nationally. She has scored a league-high 67 this season and was second in points per game (5.38) among NE10 players. Johnson tallied three or more goals in 12 games this season, helping the Falcons to a 7-3 record in conference play and the No. 4 seed in the NE10 Championship.
Lionetti was a defensive standout for Adelphi, as she ranked third in caused turnovers per game (1.71) and 10th in ground balls per game (2.00). She was a big part of a 12-9 win over New Haven, one of the league's top scoring teams, which propelled Adelphi to a share of the regular season title and the No. 2 seed in the NE10 Championship. Lionetti is the third Adelphi player in the last four years to win the award.
Schenk highlighted a historic season for New Haven, which included a conference win over Pace - which had not lost a game to an NE10 opponent since 2022. She ranked fifth with 3.35 goals per game and seventh with 4.24 points per game. Schenk also averaged 4.35 draw controls per game, sixth-most in the conference. She becomes the first New Haven player since Mackenzie Reh (2019) to win Midfielder of the Year.
Driscoll had another outstanding season for Saint Anselm - posting a 12-5 record while ranking second in saves per game (10.06) and save percentage (.541). McDermod joined her with a sensational rookie campaign, which included 2.59 goals per game - 10th in the NE10 - and 2.82 points per game.
Fallon wins Coach of the Year for the fifth time in her career and for the first time since 2015, as she led New Haven to its first-ever NE10 regular season title. She trails only former Stonehill coach Michael Daly, who received the honor six times. Fallon is coaching in her 19th season at New Haven and is the longest-tenured women's lacrosse coach in the conference.
The NE10 Women's Lacrosse Championship continues on Wednesday with the semifinal round. Pace will host Saint Anselm, while Adelphi welcomes Assumption. Both games will be streamed live on NE10 NOW on FloSports.
