Women's Lacrosse 5/20/2026 3:00:00 PM Seven From NE10 Earn WLAX All-American Pace and Adelphi Carry the Conference Banner in 2026 NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – The International Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has announced the 48 student-athletes selected for the 2026 Division II All-American teams, divided into first, second, and third teams. These IWLCA All-Americans, representing 21different institutions, are recognized as the top athletes in the sport this year. The Northeast 10 earned seven of those selections, spread among the Pace and Adelphi rosters. The conference earned four first team nods, two on the second team and one on the third. The NE10's Attacker of the Year, Adelphi's Alexandra Leggio; Midfielder of the Year, Pace's Marissa Doty; and Defender of the Year, Adelphi's Sonny Lionetti, all earned first team All-America status. Pace's Sasha Kulo was cemented as the No. 1 draw control specialist in the nation, earning her second first team All-America selection in as many weeks at the position. USA Lacrosse Magazine name Kulo to the same position last week. Leggio finished third in the NE10 in scoring in 2026, finding the back of the cage 54 times. Doty was right behind her with 54 goals in fifth. Lionetti anchored AU's defense and served a specialty as a one-woman clear. A pair of attackers - Adelphi's Julia Foppiano and Pace's Annie Sheehan - earned second team All-America rewards. Adelphi's draw specialist and midfielder Rita Sefransky was placed by the IWLCA on the third team. Foppiano ranked second, only to Leggio, in points per game in the NE10 this season. Sheehan was fifth with 33 goals and 45 assists. The seven All-American's from the NE10 mark the most by a conference in the East Region and ranks nationally only behind the Sunshine State Conference, PSAC and Great Lakes Valley Conference.
