MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference had 23 women's lacrosse players selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region teams on Wednesday – including 13 who earned First Team honors.
The IWLCA recognized 128 student-athletes in Division II with All-Region status. The entire pool of All-Region players are eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team, which will be announced on May 21.
Pace had a league-best seven selections to the All-Region teams – including five First Team picks. Adelphi and New Haven both had five selections. Six different NE10 institutions were represented overall.
Among the First Team selections were Bentley's Maeve Johnson (NE10 Attacker of the Year), as well as Adelphi's Sonny Lionetti (NE10 Defensive Player of the Year), New Haven's Katie Schenk (NE10 Midfielder of the Year) and Saint Anselm's Elizabeth Driscoll (NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year).
Overall, the NE10 tallied 23 All-Region selections out of a possible 32 in the East Region - over 70-percent of all honors.
