NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Adelphi's Mitchell Archer was selected as both the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Golf Player and Rookie of the Year, highlighting All-Conference honors announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon.
Archer is the first golfer to win both NE10 Player and Rookie of the Year honors since Adelphi's Ryan Snouffer accomplished the feat in 2012-13. Additionally, Southern New Hampshire's Matt Arvanitis was named Coach of the Year for the third time in his career after leading the Penmen to the NE10 Championship title.
Seven different NE10 men's golf programs had at least one player earn All-Conference recognition, including a league-high four selections for both Adelphi and Southern New Hampshire.
Archer is the third Adelphi golfer to win Player and Rookie of the Year, following Snouffer and Louis Kelly. He won individual medalist honors at the NE10 Men's Golf Championship in October, shooting a four-over (214) for the tournament and besting Southern New Hampshire's Jack Pepin in a three-hole playoff. Archer had seven Top-10 finishes this season for Adelphi, while helping the Panthers to earn runner-up at the NE10 Championship and to qualify for the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional. His score average was 74.7 in 30 rounds this season.
Arvanitis earns Coach of the Year after leading Southern New Hampshire to the NE10 Championship for the fifth time in program history. He wins the honor for the first time since 2022. Southern New Hampshire played in the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional under Arvanitis, one of four NE10 teams to qualify. The Penmen were led by Jack Pepin, who finished in the Top 10.
