NE10 Player of the Week
Johnny Solari, Adelphi
Senior | Warwick, N.Y.
Solari finished as the co-champion this Tuesday at the Granite State Opener, and led Adelphi en route to a team championship. He shot a remarkable nine-under for the tournament. Over the span of three rounds, his best performance came in the second, shooting a seven-under. In that round, Solari dominated the back nine, carding an eagle on the par-5 10th hole and adding four birdies over the next eight holes. The senior stayed consistent in his other two rounds, shooting one-under in both.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
CJ Strong, Assumption
Freshman | Troy, N.Y.
Strong picked up his first win of the year, as the freshman finished at -9 following three rounds of action at the Granite State Opener. He was one of two players to shoot under par for all three rounds, and the only one who was at least a -2. Strong's best round came in the second half of Monday, as he shot a -4 with just two bogies and six birdies.
