NE10 Swimmer and Rookie of the Week

Sultan Azat, Bridgeport
Freshman I Almaty, Kazakhstan

Azat helped Bridgeport sweep a tri-meet last week with three first-place finishes.  The rookie's best performance came in th3 1,000 Free, posting an NE10-best 9:19.74 time.  Azat also won the 500 Free and 400 Free Relay, checking in with the sixth and fourth-best times in the league this winter.  This week marks Azat's fifth and sixth weekly awards.
 

NE10 Diver of the Week

Elliot Speckhard, Southern Connecticut
Sophomore I Saint Louis, Mo.

Against Bentley on Saturday, Speckhard won both one and three meter diving events. Speckhard scored 238.13 on one meter and then surged from the three meter board. Speckhard scored 249.53 points, which puts him in third in the NE10. The new mark beats out his old season best by one point.
