Track and Field 2/19/2026 8:16:34 PM Six Provisional Marks Set on Day One of NE10 Championship SCSU Leads in Both Men's and Women's Standings BOSTON, Mass. - Six NCAA Division II provisional marks highlighted the first day of the Northeast 10 Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship at the TRACK at new balance on Thursday, as Southern Connecticut jumped out to a big lead on both the men's and women's sides. Southern Connecticut - the eight-time reigning men's champion and two-time reigning women's champion - dominated the gold medal count, winning four of five gold medals in men's events and five of six in women's events. The Owls earned 79 points in the men's team standings, while Assumption is second with 32 points and Adelphi is third with 24 points. Southern Connecticut's Colton Sallum won the 5000 (15:04.44), Peyton Adams won the pole vault (4.40 meters) and Aidan Chittenden took the weight throw (17.06 meters) to headline the team's performances - while its 4000 Distance Medley Relay also won gold in a time of 10:28.05. In the women's standings, the Owls tallied 93 points, with Franklin Pierce in second with 29 points and Saint Anselm in third with 27 points. Courtney Henchcliffe won the 5000 (17:54.75), while Maddie Hathorn won the pole vault for the third-straight year (3.40 meters). Belle Smith won the weight throw (16.41 meters), Deja Fitzpatrick-Bell won the long jump (5.47 meters) and the 4000 Distance Medley Relay won in a time of 12:37.55. In the prelims of the 60M Hurdles, both Patrice Mansfield (8.67) and Amanda Castaldi (8.71) earned provisional marks. Other provisional marks were set by Adelphi's David Williams in the prelims of the 60M Hurdles (8.07), while Saint Anselm's Logan Montgomery (21.45), Franklin Pierce's Cristian Reinoso (21.56) and American International's Junior Grant (21.58) all hit provisionals in the prelims of the 200M.
