Britt Provides Dynamic Week for Penmen

Week 1 - February 23, 2026


NE10 Player of the Week

Dakota Britt, Southern New Hampshire
Senior | Outfielder | Rockwall, Texas

Britt was nearly impossible to get out in a 3-1 week last week, as he batted .706 (12-17) with eight RBI and 10 runs scored. Britt also walked four times to bolster a .773 slugging percentage and collected three doubles to slug .882. Britt gathered at least three hits and three runs in each of the three Penmen wins, including a 5-for-5 performance in the final game of the week – a 7-5 win over Staten Island on Saturday.


NE10 Pitcher of the Week

Sam Belliveau, Bentley
Graduate Student | Pitcher | Wenham, Mass.

In his first two outings of the season, Belliveau pitched a total of 10 innings - allowing three earned runs on 10 hits with 15 strikeouts and only one walk for Bentley. In a 10-4 loss to Lynn, he surrendered just one run on four hits in four innings of work, while striking out six. In a win over Bridgeport, he struck out nine in six innings and allowed just two earned runs. 


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Matt Scalia, Southern Connecticut
Freshman | Outfielder | Northford, Conn.

Scalia has been very impressive in his rookie season with the Owls. This weekend in Myrtle Beach, he batted .778 (7-9) over the Owls' last three games, totaling three RBI and three runs scored. His three doubles lead the team and tie him for the third most in the NE10 and he is now batting .320 on the season.
