The SCSU Owls claimed their first NE10 Championship this past weekend since they won the NCAA title in 2007. Head coach Kate Lynch was a junior on that team. The Owls were led by do-it-all senior Hope Fox in the tournament and some key performances from role players like Ally Sentance and Arianna Gerkin. Fox and Sentance both earned all-tournament recognition while the former was named Most Outstanding Player, presented by the United States Marines. Fox and Sentance join the podcast to talk about the title, their season and their careers in New Haven.
NE10 NOW: The Podcast chats regularly with student-athletes across the Northeast 10 about their success on and off the field, giving fans a chance to get to know the people behind the jersey numbers, stats and starting lineups. New episodes drop on YouTube, featured on NE10 social media channels and on Northeast10.org.
ABOUT THE NE10
The NE10 is an association of 10 diverse institutions serving student-athletes across 24 NCAA Division II sports. Together we build brilliant futures by embracing the journey of every student-athlete.
Each year, 4,500 of those student-athletes compete in conference championships in 24 sports, making the NE10 the largest DII conference in the country in terms of sport sponsorship. Leading the way in the classroom, on the field and within the community, the NE10 is proud of its comprehensive program and the experience it provides student-athletes.
