NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Saint Anselm's Tatum Forbes has been selected East Region Player of the Year by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) on Thursday - highlighting All-Region honors for the Northeast 10 Conference.
Forbes highlights a group of four women's basketball players from the NE10 to earn All-Region status - and is the only one on First Team. Three players - American International's Chelsea Reeves, Bentley's Niya Morgen and Southern Connecticut's Rheyna Steinauer - were named to the Second Team.
Forbes, who was just named Northeast 10 Conference Player of the Year, earns another distinction - and is the second consecutive Saint Anselm player to win East Region Player of the Year. Forbes' former teammate Melanie Hoyt won the honor in 2024-25. The East region includes teams from the Northeast 10, East Coast Conference (ECC), and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).
Forbes led all NE10 players this season in scoring (18.1 points per game) and assists (5.1 per game). She started every game for Saint Anselm, averaging over 34.0 minutes per game across 23 contests. In addition to being the second consecutive Hawks' player to win NE10 Player of the Year, she is the fourth to win it in the past six seasons (Peyton Steinman in 2022, Shannon Ryan in 2020). Forbes also ranked seventh in rebounding (7.1 per game). Nationally, she is in the top 20 in Division II in assists per game.
She posted three double-doubles and surpassed 20 points in 13 games. She closed out the season with seven straight games of at least 20 points, tallying 30 points in two of those games.
The NE10 had four All-Region selections, tied for the most in the East Region.
