NE10 Track Athlete of the Week
Jordany Dely, New Haven
Grad Student I Spring Valley, N.Y.
Opening up the season at the Yale Season Opener, Dely set his mark early with a first place finish and an NCAA Division II provisional mark in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.08 to lead the field by 8 one-hundredths of a second. In addition to his medal honors in the hurdles, Dely also finished third overall in a field of 24 runners in the 400-meter run with a time of 50.23.
NE10 Field Athlete of the Week
Nile Love, New Haven
Grad Student I Wheatley Heights, N.Y.
In his first meet as a Charger at the Yale Season Opener, Love finished with a pair of top-three finishes with a runner-up placing in the long jump and a third place showing in the triple jump. In the LJ, he leapt to a distance of 7.10 meters (28'3.5") on his second to last attempt to finish second among the field of 19. In the TJ his best attempt also came in the second to last try when he hit a distance of 14.15 meters (46''5.25") to finish third in the field of eight.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Paul Garraway-Paul, Adelphi
Freshman | Brooklyn, N.Y.
Paul Garraway-Paul clocked in at 22.46 in the 200 meter race, which sits first in the conference after opening weekend - he also anchored the men's 4x400 that has the league's top-time of 3:24.16 at the Fastrack Season Opener.
