Each week during the academic year, the NE10 honors
Athletes of the Week for all of its 24 sponsored sports while they are in season. Faces in the Crowd shines a spotlight on outstanding on-field performances that didn't earn Athlete of the Week recognition, while also highlighting academic or community efforts from student-athletes across the league.
Below are this week's
NE10 Faces in the Crowd.
Alvaro Garcia
School: SNHU
Sport: Soccer
Garcia posted a shutout against No. 1 ranked Charleston in the NCAA's final 16. SNHU became the third team in the country to knock off an undefeated No. 1 ranked opponent. Garcia's shutout came with a save in the game's final three minutes to help keep the Golden Eagles off the board.
Jojo Wallace
School: SNHU
Sport: Basketball
Wallace has snuck under the radar with Ugo Nwachukwu's standout performance to start the year. The Iona transfer's posted 20+ points in four of six games this season and hit a season-best 27 coming back from Thanksgiving against Post. His 13 made field goals are the most in a game in the NE10 this winter.
Kaitlin McDonough
School: Saint Anselm
Sport: Basketball
McDonough had NE10-bests in two categories this past weekend against Molloy. The junior pulled down 16 rebounds and swatted away six shots. Six of her boards were offensive and one third of her rebounds this season have come on the o-glass. McDonough's had a breakout junior season, already picking up more blocks than she had last season following her first four career starts.
Margaret Montplaisir
School: Saint Michael's
Sport: Basketball
Montplaisir drained seven threes and scored 29 points in a single game last week, coming within striking distance of a Purple Knights single-game record that's stood for more than 40 years. Seven of her eight makes were from behind the arc and eight of her nine attempts were threes as well.
Zee McCown
School: Assumption
Sport: Basketball
Zee was a revelation vs. Queens with 27 points and nine assists. He went 13-20 from the field, putting up more than a third of his season shots in the game. Zee also had four steals in the Greyhounds win.

ABOUT THE NE10
The NE10 is an association of 10 diverse institutions serving student-athletes across 24 NCAA Division II sports. Together we build brilliant futures by embracing the journey of every student-athlete.
Each year, 4,500 of those student-athletes compete in conference championships in 24 sports, making the NE10 the largest DII conference in the country in terms of sport sponsorship. Leading the way in the classroom, on the field and within the community, the NE10 is proud of its comprehensive program and the experience it provides student-athletes.
Fans can subscribe via this link to follow NE10 NOW on FloSports this season. The partnership between the NE10 and FloSports works to provide funds back to the athletic departments of the Northeast-10 Conference in support of student-athletes while promoting the league on a national platform.
