Bentley No. 1 Seed, SNHU Also Makes NCAA Field

Two NE10 Squads Fighting for a Spot in Cary

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The Bentley Falcons made history Sunday, seeing their name called in the NCAA DII baseball bracket for the first time.  Bentley earned the Northeast 10's automatic qualifying slot after going undefeated in the weekend's conference championship.  Ranked in the Top 25 at times throughout the year, Bentley boasts one of the nation's most explosive offenses and scored 11 times in the NE10 Championship final.

Not only are the Falcons dancing for the first time, but they'll be doing it in Waltham, hosting as the No. 1 seed in the entire East Region.  Bentley is podded with No. 4 and No. 5 seeds Wilmington and Goldey Beacom, both hailing from the CACC.

Differen from Bentley, Southern New Hampshire is making a return trip to the regional and is quite accustomed not just the the postseason, but to advancing to Cary and the DII College World Series.  The Penmen draw the No. 3 seed with 40 wins (30 in conference).  SNHU faltered twice in the conference bracket -- both times at the hands of champion Bentley.  Southern earns a difficult draw in No. 6 Felician -- the squad that eliminated Franklin Pierce last year en route to North Carolina as the East Region rep.  The No. 2 seed and host in that pod is Molloy.

NCAA Regional action takes place beginning May 14th and running for three days.  The winners of each pod in the region will advance to a head-to-head best of three Super Regional.
