NE10 Player of the Week

Irene Garbo, Saint Anselm
Junior | Assemini, Sardinia, Italy
 

Garbo remained undefeated in singles play with a pair of victories at the No. 1 flight against Division I Merrimack and Bentley. She defeated Merrimack's Kiana Thompson, 7-6 (8-6), 6-3, and Bentley's Catalina Borrero, 6-1, 6-3. Garbo also secured a win at No. 1 doubles against Bentley, going 3-1 overall this week. 

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Polina Georgieva, Franklin Pierce
Freshman | Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria
 

Georgieva won at No. 1 singles against Adelphi, beating Katarina Liedbeck by a 6-2, 6-1 margin, and contributed two wins in the team win over Bentley, including a No. 1 singles win with a line score of 6-1, 6-2. She also won at No. 3 doubles against Bentley. Overall this week, she went 3-1 as part of a 1-1 week for Franklin Pierce.
