NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass - The most successful program in Northeast 10 men's tennis history is back atop the leaderboard as the Assumption Greyhounds clinched a share of the conference regular seasonchampionship Saturday, splitting the honor with back-to-back-to-back-to-back champion Adelphi. The Panthers, however, through tie-breakers, are the No. 1 seed in next week's conference championship.
Assumption's 8-2 conference record earns it a share of the league regular season crown for the first time since 2006-07, a season that stands as the last of a nine-year run as both regular and postseason league winners. The, now 10, regular season titles are the most in NE10 annals, as are Assumption's nine postseason trophies.
Adelphi's 8-2 record was sealed with a W over fellow field participant SNHU Saturday. The Panthers have now shared the league's regular season in three of the last four years and was the outright conference champ in 2025. Coach Rebecca Fakas has led her alma mater to consecutive conference postseason championships and a win in the opening round of last season's NCAA Championship.
The Penmen slot in right behind Adelphi with Bentley rounding out the bracket as the No. 4 seed in its final tennis season.
Semifinal action begins Thursday with all matches played at Southern New Hampshire University. The championship final will be played Friday. Live stats and free broadcast coverage (via YouTube) are available by following links on
