Opara Helps New Haven to Big Win

Week 10 - November 11, 2024


NE10 Offensive Player of the Week

Brett Pullman, Bentley
Graduate Student | Quarterback | Worcester, Mass.

Pullman completed 66.7% of his passes (24-of-36), threw for 236 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in Bentley's 34-26 win over Franklin Pierce. 


NE10 Defensive Player of the Week

Chima Opara, New Haven
Senior | Defensive Back | Marlton, N.J.

Opara led the Chargers' defense in a 14-11 win over Saint Anselm, which secured sole possession of first place, as he finished with five tackles while also forcing a fumble and grabbing an interception that he returned 21 yards. 


NE10 Special Teams Player of the Week

Gabriel Bertolazzo, Assumption
Senior | Punter | Winter Garden, Fla.

Bertolazzo had five punts for 220 yards for the Greyhounds in their 14-7 win at Pace on Saturday. He averaged 44 yards per punt, with one inside the 20 and two of 50+, with a long of 53. 


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Connor Dietz, American International
Freshman | Quarterback | Point Pleasant, N.J. 

 

Dietz once again led AIC to a win, this time at Post. He threw for 161 yards and a touchdown, and dashed off 81 rushing yards with two scores. Both of his rushing touchdowns, including the fourth-quarter game-winner, came on fourth down plays.
